Introduction
If we talk about high-end products, we can’t skip a very good group of Alen air purifiers called Breathe Smart. There are three main models that we will showcase in this article which are designed to suit different apartment or room sizes. First among three is Alen BreatheSmart FLEX, than BreatheSmart FIT50 and in the end, the largest one, BreatheSmart Classic.
These purifiers are very customizable in every direction you take, but first, we will look into the best parts of these devices. It is incredible to comprehend, but these devices have a lifetime warranty and 60 days money back guarantee. So if you are serious about getting a good quality device, this is one of the best devices to consider.
Of course, the lifetime warranty is limited and you can’t change the owner of the device, it has to be connected to a proper power supply, there can be no tampering or any other mishandling, accidental damage etc. The best thing about this warranty is that the Alen company will bear shipment and handling costs.
What do they have in common?

The most important part of every air purifier is its filter. Breathe Smart has made one step forward into filter customization, but it lacks standardized quality within this group of devices. All of these filters are not True HEPA, but rather HEPA type.
Again, we are not saying that these filters don’t do the job, but rather we are not sure of it since the filter is not standardized. Below this text, there are four different HEPA type filters that deal with specific issues. They can be installed in any of these three devices.

Mold/Bacteria | – | x | – | |
VOC’s/Household Chemicals | – | x | – | |
Smoke/Cooking Odors | – | – | x | – |

As for the other filtration systems, these devices have ionizers, except Breathe Smart Flex, who has only one filter that comes with the package. All of these filters listed above can be bought and installed in the device according to your own personal wishes and needs. The good thing about these devices is that you can choose one of the 14 colors for panels, but a downside of this customization is that prices may vary depending on what color you would like.

What are the differences?
There are no major differences withing this group of devices. We can find more similarities between Classic and FIT50 than with Flex device. Flex device has fewer features, it especially lacks smart sensors, automatic mode, air feedback sensors etc. So, the device is not as hig tech as the other two. On the other hand, FIT50 and Classic almost have no differences except for the strength of the device. Classis is the strongest air purifier which covers large rooms of up to 1100 square feet, while FIT50 is designed to cover spaces up to 900 square feet. The smallest and weakest one is Flex which covers only 700 square feet.
Clear differences can be seen in a clean air delivery rate (CADR) and airflow in cubic feet per minute (CFM) levels, which are making these devices essentially different. Also, keep in mind, that the coverage area falls down drastically if you want to operate this device only on the quiet mode.
- Customizable features including filters
- High CADR and CFM
- Energy efficient
- Lifetime warranty and free support
- Expensive
- Not true HEPA filter
- Large devices
- No pre-filters
Conclusion
This is a very expensive and powerful group of Alen air purifiers. If you are looking for a device which will for sure filter the air in your room or an apartment, this is a device to buy.
The only other question you should ask yourself is whether you prefer to havea True HEPA filter, or would you be satisfied with their HEPA type filter? There are a few additional models within Alan group that have a True HEPA filter, but of course, additional costs will be there.
If you buy this device, you can be safe and secure, since there is a lifetime warranty for the device that has been used properly and if you don’t like it, you can always get your money within first two months after purchase.
